Eco-Cruise Cayuga Lake!
The Cayuga Lake Floating Classroom Project will host water monitoring demonstrations aboard the M/V Haendel between 3:00pm and 6:00pm during Lansing’s Harborfest, Saturday, August 15. The M/V Haendel will also sail from the Myers Point Marina for one-hour public lake monitoring cruises, at 4:00pm and 6:00pm. Each cruise will be limited to 28 persons, and a $5-$10 donation is requested for the cruise to help support educational programming. For more information, see floatingclassroom.blogspot.com , or call (607) 697-0166 for reservations. Come and see how much fun you can have getting to know Cayuga Lake!
The Cayuga Lake Floating Classroom is sponsored by local governments and community partners around Cayuga Lake, and provides lake access and education for all residents. Cruises are available for classes, community groups and organizations from May to November each year, and school-based programs are offered during the winter.
