The first Lansing Harbor Festival was on Labor Day weekend in 2007.  That was one week after it had been schduled, postponed due to a freak storm that damaged Myers Park, snapped utility poles near the Lansing schools, and blanketed Lansing into darkness as the power company struggled to turn the lights back on.

The second year was less dramatic, but reinforced the festival as a family-friendly, dynamic celebration of the Lansing community.
