Lansing Harbor Festival proudly hosts the first annual Baker Cup Chicken Barbecue Sauce Competition. Local barbecue enthusiasts will compete grill to grill to win the prize for best chicken barbecue sauce. Judges were Village of Lansing Mayor Donald Hartill and Jodi Dake, Town Supervisor Scott Pinney and Sharon Bowman, and WHCU's Dave Vieser.
2008: Robin Shuttenberg won first prize, with Matthew Binkewicz taking second prize.
NEW: There is no entry fee.
Contestants will provide their own sauce, a written list of
the ingredients to be handed out with the chicken to the judges only (allergy purposes)
and their own cooking utensils, we will provide charcoal, grill for cooking and
the chicken. Each contestant will
prepare and barbeque 5 pieces of chicken.
Winner will receive the BAKER CUP TROPHY along with prize
money of $100.00.
An additional $100.00
will be donated to a Lansing program of the winner’s choice. Choices include:

Food Pantry
You can start cooking as early as 10:00am and the judging
will be begin at 12:30PM
The winner will be announced at 5:30 pm on the Main Stage, with trophies awarded by Jackie Baker.
